To direct and oversee all financial activities of the corporation including preparation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlook


  • Directs the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.

  • Oversees accounting departments, budget preparation, and audit functions. Meets regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer direction.

  • Reviews reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.

  • Analyzes company operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized, down-sized, or eliminated.

  • Confers with president, vice president, and division leaders to coordinate and prioritize planning.

  • Studies long-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth in overall sales and market share, opportunities for acquisitions or expansion into new product areas.

  • Estimates requirements for capital, land, buildings, and an increase in the work force.


  • Masters degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
    C.P.A. designation preferred.

  • Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.
  • Eight to ten years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

We are currently searching for experienced Finance/HR Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly effective and self-motivated individual to join our team. This is a full-time position with a generous benefit plan.

Responsible for day-to-day management of finance, including accounts payable and receivable, budget development and management, short term and long term projections of cash requirements, and grants management. Also responsible for day to day management of human resources, including recruitment, worker’s compensation, performance management, benefits coordination, payroll submission, and employee goodwill. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and supervises the Administrative Assistant.

  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred, plus 5 years experience in a finance or accounting related role

  • Solid experience using Quickbooks Pro 2005

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements, preferably in a non-profit setting

  • Thorough knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures which apply to accounting and financing

  • Ability to formulate, initiate, and administer policies and procedures (with direction from the Executive Director) for effective fiscal control

  • Ability to maintain effective and respected work relationships with co-workers, and clients

  • Ability to present and communicate ideas and concepts in public and private, verbally and in writing

  • Ability to make independent judgments which have highly significant impacts on the organization

  • Experience working with government agencies a plus

  • Grant management and reimbursement experience is highly desired
